Have you ever realized something that was right under your nose? EFT has been such a life changer for me and I’ve only done the basics for the past 6 months or so. I realized how much I enjoy doing it, on myself or during an Instagram live. It’s very exciting for me to tell people about EFT. I started thinking how amazing it would be to create specific tapping techniques for myself and others instead of just the general ones I’ve been using.
Wait, what is EFT?
Go ahead and skip this section if you are already aware of what EFT is though you can read if you want to. For everyone else, EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. The explanation I am going to provide is the way I describe it and in the way I talk therefore please don’t take this as official EFT “speak”. Please look it up online if you want to learn more or get official definitions.
EFT is the one where a person taps all over their face and parts of their body. You even tap right under your nose. You can think of these tapping points as being similar to acupuncture but without the needles. Most of the time these follow a simple “recipe”, that is to say, it looks ridiculous. You’ll feel like an idiot and wonder how tapping on your face can change your life.
Recipe below
A general version of EFT is to first use a set up statement such as “Even though I don’t want to work today, I deeply and completely accept how I feel.” You do this a few times tapping on the side of the hand. Then you move on and tap on eight points on your face and body and you are saying or thinking all of the bad things you are feeling. “This sucks.” “Why do I have to go in today?” “My weekends are never long enough.” You’re trying to get those emotions activated and moving. I get myself good and worked up. Then as you go through this several times, you’ll notice that you are starting to feel a little better. At this point, you say positive statements. “Maybe I can be open to trying to have a good day at work today.” ” I will be okay today.”
I have done EFT a few times on Instagram live. I’ve saved those videos so be sure to check them out. https://www.instagram.com/lisa_polak_/
This was right under my nose for over six months!
I recently took a quick (i.e. inexpensive) EFT certification. It was too soon to invest in longer (i.e. more expensive) training. I needed to see how much I enjoyed the crash course. That training I took got me a taste of how amazing this personal development work really is. I loved it and I knew I wanted know more.
It’s time to invest in EFT

I’ve decided to forgo any birthday presents this year from my husband and mothers day and get a long term, very comprehensive training. I’m so excited to learn more and I can’t wait to share it with you all in the future. Hey – I may need some beta testers in the future so stay tuned for that. This is how career change can happen, taking action and trying things, even if they don’t work out. You won’t know until you take some inspired action.
What’s been right under your nose that you may not notice?
